Beneath the Ashes - Jans Isaac

Cover:
Fits the title perfectly!

Synopsis:

When a body is discovered in a burnt-out barn in the Warwickshire countryside, DI Will Jackman is called to investigate.
Nancy Faraday wakes up on the kitchen floor. The house has been broken into and her boyfriend is missing. As the case unravels, DI Jackman realises that nothing is quite as it appears and everyone, it seems, has a secret.
Can he discover the truth behind the body in the fire, and track down the killer before Nancy becomes the next victim?
My thoughts and opinion:

This was the first book I've ever read by Jane Isaac and it's the second one of hers that include DI Will Jackman. Now you don't need to know the first one since I had no problem getting into the second book but it is recommend for a bit more background info :)

The book started off with a mysterious woman who seems in a bit of trouble. Then we have a flashback to a barn that burned off and had a body in it. Who is it? Anyone who lived there? Worked there? Maybe a visitor?

I loved the different views and deep story to it. It wasn't just a death, some investigation and then end. There was so much information here and there and the story itself was fantastic. I would love to read more from Jane!

Thank you so much Legend Press for sending me this book <3
